KABUL (Pajhwok): An Uzbek delegation, headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, arrived in Kabul Saturday morning for talks with Afghan leaders.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) said in a statement Aripov was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minster for Administrative Affairs Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi and Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi at the Kabul International Airport.
It said the Uzbek prime minister’s visit was aimed to hold meetings with IEA leaders on various issues, including trade, and open an exhibition of Uzbek products in Kabul.
This is Aripov’s first visit to Kabul after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) takeover in August 2021.
