2.7m Afghans assisted by UK last year

KABUL (Pajhwok): On World Humanitarian Day, the United Kingdom says it has provided assistance to over 2.7 million Afghans this last fiscal year.

The UK embassy for Afghanistan wrote on its X page: “On #WorldHumanitarianDay we continue to work with our partners to improve the difficult humanitarian situation facing the Afghan people.”

It said the UK was proud that its humanitarian assistance had reached over 2.7m people, including 1.3 million women, last financial year.
