TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Two drug-processing factories have been dismantled in the Charchino district of central Uruzgan province, security officials said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Bilal Uruzgani told Pajhwok Afghan News counter-narcotics personnel destroyed the drug labs in the Khooni area of the district.
“The two ephedra-processing factories, 4,500 kilograms of ephedra and some equipment were destroyed during an overnight raid.” Uruzgani said.
So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the drugs.
Earlier, thousands of kilograms of ephedra were recovered and destroyed during similar operations in Uruzgan.
