KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan have clinched the 2024 U-17 Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Championship title.
In a keenly-contested final in Dushanbe on Saturday, the national squad pulled a 1-0 triumph over Uzbekistan in, said the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF).
In the tournament, the rising Afghan soccer stars Afghan team scored three impressive wins and exhibited their prowess.
The championship, which Afghanistan claimed by a solitary goal, also featured teams from Tajikistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
Prior to the major event, the Afghan side had undergone days of training in Tajikistan.
