JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A clash between two families over land ownership in eastern Nangarhar province resulted in one death and two injuries, an official reported on Monday.
Police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Barikab area of Batikot district.
The altercation over the land escalated into violence, resulting in the death of Rahimullah and injuries to two others.
Zabuli added that security forces arrived at the scene, evacuated the injured to a zonal hospital and the dead to a forensic facility for examination.
Rahmatullah, a local resident, told Pajhwok that the two families had previously clashed over this land multiple times, but this incident turned violent and led to causalities.
