HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A student has handwritten a copy of the Holy Quran using 2,000 pens in one year and seven months in western Herat province, an official said on Monday.
Abdul Qadir Karimi, a 10th grade student of Ghoriyan district school, said the copy of the holy book was 55cm wide and 70cm long.
He said the Holy Quran handwriting cost him 45,000 afghanis and four types of pens were used, with the number of totally pens reaching 2,000.
On the other hand, Education Director Maulvi Rahmatullah Jabir while supporting students and said their department was trying to improve talents of students and support them.
