Afghan squad off to India for one-off Test against Kiwis

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) says the national squad has left for India to attend a training camp ahead of a one-off Test match against New Zealand.

The 20-member squad left for India this morning to participate in the training camp, ACB wrote on its Facebook page.

On Monday, ACB announced a 20-member preliminary squad for the Test against Kiwis, scheduled to take place from September 9-13 in Greater Noida, India.

The preliminary squad includes:

Hashmatullah Shahidi (captain), Ibrahim Zadran, Riaz Hassan, Abdul Malik, Rahmat Shah, Baheer Shah Mahboob, Ikram Alikhel (wk), Shahidullah Kamal, Gulbadin Naib, Afsar Zazai (wk), Azmatullah Omarzai, Ziaurrahman Akbar, Shamsurrahman, Qais Ahmad, Zahir Khan, Nijat Masoud, Farid Ahmad Malik, Naveed Zadran, Khalil Ahmad and Yama Arab.
