UNDP urged to implement mega development projects in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Finance Minister Mullah Mohammad Nasir Akhund has held a meeting with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Head Stephen Rodriques and stressed the implementation of mega economic projects in Afghanistan.

On its x.com, the Ministry of Finance wrote that the acting finance minister asked the visiting UNDP head to implement mega-economic projects in Afghanistan.

Stephen Rodríguez praised the economic developments in Afghanistan, and said that currently the financial and banking sectors in Afghanistan are stable, businessmen and investors have been given the necessary opportunities, and small businesses have flourished due to tax exemptions and discounts. At the national level, important development projects are being implemented.

Minister Mullah Mohammad Nasir Akhund assured that the acting government would provide all kind of support to the UNDP for implementing mega projects in Afghanistan.

Stephen has promised to increase the coordination of the Ministry of Finance with his own activities for the purpose of increasing growth, so that he can implement economically beneficial projects in Afghanistan.
