KABUL (Pajhwok): Kazakhstan is willing to invest in Afghanistan’s infrastructure development projects, says the country’s ambassador to Kabul.
In a statement, the Ministry of Public Works said Minister Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani met Kazakh Ambassador Alim Khan Yasin Gildev on Tuesday.
It said the two sides discussed a number of important issues during the meeting.
The ministry said: “Both sides discussed in detail the Afghan railways, especially the first section of the Khwaf-Herat railway and expansion of trade between the two countries.”
Sani called Kazakhstan one of Afghanistan’s most important economic trade partners.
He assured the Kazakh ambassador that security is now fully ensured in Afghanistan and there is a good opportunity for investment and Kazakh businessmen and companies can invest in Afghanistan.
The Kazakh ambassador also said that Kazakh companies are ready to invest in infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
