Afghanistan united after decades of unrest: Haqqani

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Acting Minister of Interior has declared that Afghanistan is now united after decades of conflict and no one will be allowed to sow discord among the Afghans.

In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said Acting Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani attended the inauguration of the newly-built Shaheed Abdul Manan Mosque in the 11th municipality district of Kabul.

Haqqani described the mosque’s opening and the commemoration of Jihad heroes as significant and historically valuable.

During his speech, Haqqani emphasized the importance of national unity and praised the efforts of the “Mujahideen” in maintaining security.

He reiterated that Afghanistan had achieved unity after a long period of unrest and stressed that no one would be allowed to disrupt the harmony between the tribes.

He urged officials of the 11th police district to perform their duties diligently, with a good attitude and respectful interaction with the public, while maintaining piety.

Additionally, Sheikh Hazrat Bilal, head of the local ulema council, and tribal elder Gul Agha pledged their support for strengthening security in the district.

They commended the positive interaction between the government and the community and expressed their gratitude to local officials for their dedicated service.
