Cyber security vital need in today’s era: Haqqani

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology and Turkmen ambassador in Kabul have discussed fiber optics, cyber security and technology-related issues.

In a statement, MoCIT said Acting Minister Najibullah Hayat Haqqani met with Turkmenistan’s ambassador Khwaja Avadov in Kabul.

In this meeting, both sides talked about fiber optics, cyber security, and other technology-related topics.

Haqqani called cyber security one of the vital needs of the present era. He said Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has been trying to create a cyber-crime laboratory for cyber security in the country.

Haqqani welcomed the Turkmen ambassador and explained Ashgabat and Kabul enjoyed brotherly relations and both countries were working together for economic stability.

Meanwhile, Khwaja Avadov also emphasized on joint efforts in this field.
