KABUL (Pajhwok): The European Union (EU) has contributed nearly 100 tons of essential medical supplies to Afghanistan.
European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic wrote on his X platform: “A new flight of the EU Humanitarian Air Bridge to #Afghanistan has landed in Kabul, the third this year, with almost 100 tonnes of essential medical supplies to assist Afghans in need”.
He said since 2021, 1850 tonnes have been shipped by 37 EU-funded flights.
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Afghanistan has announced a contribution of 25 million euros (over US$26 million) from the European Union (EU) on Tuesday.
