KABUL (Pajhwok): The Land Grab Prevention and Restitution Commission (LGPRC) has recovered more than 21.5 acres of usurped land and registered another 258.5 acres in seven provinces, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said on Thursday.
In a video clip, MoJ spokesman Hafiz Barakatullah Rasooli on his X platform said LGPRC wrested back about 21,637.5 acres of government’s usurped land after inspection in Kunduz, Takhar, Jawzjan, Ghor, Logar, Samangan and Badghis provinces.
He said the most lands had been usurped in Badghis, Ghor and Logar provinces and they were recovered in the past month.
According to the spokesman, more than 258,353.5 acres of government land has been established in 24 provinces and over 350,759.5 acres are under investigation in 29 provinces.
The process of investigating, establishing and restoring government lands continues in the country and efforts are underway to free the rest of the land.
