GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Hepatitis C (HCV) and Hepatitis B (HBV) diagnosis centre have been opened in the Zonal Hospital of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Sunday.
Dr. Mohammad Zark Zeerak, the Public Health Department head, told the inauguration gathering the HCV and HBV diagnosis centre has been built at the cost of $400,000.
Governor Hafiz Amin Jan Umari said the opening of this diagnosis centre would facilitate HCV and HBV patients to a greater extent.
He pressed medical staff to use all available resources to facilitate patients.
He added: “Diseases would be diagnosed in this centre, in the past the people of Ghazni used to travel to Kabul or abroad to diagnose their diseases.”
It is pertinent to mention that in the past there were no facilities for HCV and HBV diagnosis in Ghazni province.
