MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): Two children have been killed as a result of a blast caused by an unexploded mortar shell in Jalrez district of central Maidan Wardak province.
Police spokesman Mohammad Yousuf Israr told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred in Sangi Qala Dara of the district on Tuesday night.
He said the shell exploded when the children were playing with it. I.
