KABUL (Pajhwok): More than a hundred Ukrainian drones have been intercepted and eliminated in the past 24 hours, says the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Moscow.
The unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted in eight regions of the Russian Federation and the Sea of Azov in the early hours of Saturday.
“During the past night, the Kiev regime’s attempted terrorist attack on facilities in Russia with the use of fixed-wing UAVs was thwarted.” TASS reported, citing a statement from MoD.
It said Russian air defences intercepted and destroyed 101 Ukrainian UAVs, including 53 over Bryansk, Krasnodar Kaluga, Tver, Belgorod, Smolensk and Kursk regions, as well as Crimea and the Sea of Azov.
