KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) says a German company has expressed its readiness to invest in solar power production projects in Afghanistan.
MoWE announced on X that acting minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor held discussions with Peer Filand, the head of the German company Filand, regarding potential investments in the solar power sector.
During the meeting, Filand confirmed their preparedness to invest in these projects.
Minister Mansoor welcomed the company's interest and assured his ministry's cooperation.
It was also decided that technical teams from both sides would collaborate and define project and laying the groundwork for practical implementation.
According to another report, MoWE said Maulvi Mansoor met with economic and commercial officials from the Chinese embassy and PowerChina. They discussed collaboration on energy production projects in Afghanistan.
The ministry added during this meeting, the economic official from the Chinese embassy promised that China was committed to advancing energy production projects in Afghanistan from various sources and will take practical steps in the near future.
