KABUL (Pajhwok): Three new deputy ministers and as many governors have been appointed by the caretaker government.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote on X the new appointments had been made in compliance with orders from the IEA leadership.
He said former head of Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) Mullah Bakht Rahman Sharfat had been appointed as a new deputy minister of public health.
Ex-deputy minister of public health Maulvi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada has been named as the deputy minister of public works, according to the IEA spokesman.
He said ex-governor of Kunduz Mullah Nisar Ahmad Nasrat had been appointed as deputy minister of rural rehabilitation and development.
Former commander of 205th Badr Corps Mullah Mohammad Khan has been picked as new governor of Kunduz.
Similarly, ex-administrative chief of Greshk district of southern Helmand province Maulvi Hyatullah Mubarak has been named as governor of Ghor province.
Ex-governor of Ghor Mullah Ahmad Shah has been made the commander of 205th Badr Corps.
Former human resources manager at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MoAIL) Maulvi Abdul Wali Atqani has been picked as police chief of Jawzjan province.
Ex-police chief of Badghis province Haji Noor Agha Haider has been named as the new police chief of Ghor province.
Ex-education director of Nangarhar Maulvi Azizullah Mustafa has been named as the deputy governor of the same province.
Former police chief of Kapisa province Mohammad Usman has been appointed as the human resource manager at MoAIL.
