KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran will offer special training courses for engineers fom Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) in the field of standard mining.
In a statement, MoMP said Minister Mullah Hidayatullah Badri met Iranian government representative Ahmad Mohsini and officials of six mining companies in Kabul.
The two sides discussed Afghanistan’s mineral resources. Company representatives shared information about their activities and expressed a keen interest in investing in iron, coal and oil mines.
MoMP informed Mohsini affirmed his commitment to arranging special training courses for the engineers of the ministry in the area of standard mining.
In response, the minister welcomed their interest in investing in Afghanistan's mining sector and assured them of all possible cooperation.
