20 school buildings being renovated in Daikundi

NEILI (Pajhwok): Twenty schools buildings are being reconstructed and renovated at a cost of about nine million afghanis in central Daikundi province, an official said on Sunday.

Education Director Maulvi Rahmatullah Qandili explained reconstruction of 10 school buildings costing five million afghanis had been launched in Miramor, Shahristan, Ashtarli, Pato districts and Neili city.

He said another 10 school buildings were being repaired at a cost of four million afghanis in Sangtakh Bandar, Khadir, Kiti and Kejran districts.

According to Qandili, based on contract with companies, the reconstruction work will be completed until November 20.

The Education Director told the companies refrain from any violations in the implementation of projects and carry out the repair work honestly.

Meanwhile, students and people complained about the lack of schools and substandard school buildings.
