HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi announced that an industrial town spanning 25,000 acres will soon be established in western Herat province.
During his visit to Herat, Azizi made the announcement in the presence of the governor and several investors.
He expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the local administration for the private sector and said that improved security in the province has attracted investors from various regions.
Governor Maulvi Noor Ahmad Islamjar welcomed the government’s focus on the province, emphasising their commitment to supporting investors and industrialists by providing essential facilities.
Currently, over 600 companies and production factories operate in the existing industrial park in Herat, and there is an increasing demand for additional land due to rising investor interest.
