6 killed, 8 wounded in Pakistan chopper crash

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least six people have been killed and eight others wounded as a result of a helicopter crash in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a media report said on Sunday.

Radio Mashal reported the helicopter belonging to Mari Petro­leum Company Limited (MPCL) crashed in North Waziristan district late on Saturday.

It said six people lost their lives and eight others were injured in the incident. The Mi-8 helicopter had 14 individuals on board, including three Russian pilots.

The crash was caused by a technical fault and no signs of sabotage were detected during the initial investigation, the report added.
