KABUL (Pajhwok): Kyrgyzstan has sent 120 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, an official said on Sunday.
Zabihullah Noorani, the director of Information and Culture in northern Balkh, wrote on X that the aid consists of 90 tons of flour, 15 tons of sugar, and 15 tons of cooking oil.
The humanitarian aid was handed over to local officials in Balkh in the presence of the Kyrgyz chargé d'affaires.
Noo-ul-Hadi Abu Idrees, the deputy governor of Balkh, expressed gratitude to Kyrgyzstan, emphasising that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to maintaining good relations with regional countries.
The chargé d'affaires noted that this aid is part of his country’s commitment to supporting the Afghan people and expressed hope that such cooperation would foster stronger relations between the two nations in the future.
