KABUL (Pajhwok): A lightning strike in the Bala Murghab district of western Badghis province has resulted in the death of one man, a local official said on Monday.
Police spokesman Sediqullah Sediqi said that the incident occurred in the Joyganj area on Sunday evening.
He said the districts of Jund, Ghormach, and Qadus experienced heavy rain and windstorms, but no casualties or financial losses were reported in those areas.
