PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): One person died and seven others were injured as a result of two traffic accidents in central Logar province, police said on Monday.
Traffic Department head Gul Mohammad Himmat told Pajhwok Afghan News the first accident took place after a vehicle overturned in Al-Temor area on the Kabul-Gardez highway last night.
He said one person was killed and four others, including women and children, were injured in the mishap,
According to Himmat, the injured were evacuated to Paktia zonal hospital and they were said to be in critical condition.
Separately, a collision between a flying-coach and a motorbike injured a child and a woman among three people in Pul-i-Kandahari area of Mohammad Agha district yesterday afternoon
He attributed the accidents to reckless driving.
