KABUL (Pajhwok): Inviting the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) to BRICS meeting in Russia’s Kazan city depends on the willingness of member countries, Zamir Kabulov said on Saturday.
Countries such as Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa are main member countries of BRICS bloc, but it is possible that Saudi Arabia, Iran, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Argentina, Ethiopia and Egypt can be also announced as member states of BRICS economic bloc. Furthermore dozens of other countries have expressed their eagerness to be added to this economic bloc.
On September 26, IEA deputy spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat said that a delegation of the IEA was supposed to participate in the bloc’s next summit scheduled from Oct 22-24 in Kazan city of the Russian Federation.
According to a report of TASS News, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov told reporters about the Moscow Format meeting that the participation of the IEA’s delegation in the upcoming BRICS meeting depends on the decision of member states of the economic block.
He said Russia could not invite any country without consulting other member countries.
Yesterday, Russian intelligence authority “FSB” head Alexander Bortnikov said the removal of the "Taliban Movement" name from the list of terrorist organizations in Russia was in the final stages.
