Laghman collision leaves 1 dead, 5 wounded

MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): A man was killed and five others were wounded as a result of a traffic accident in Qarghayee district of eastern Laghman province on Sunday, an official said.

Police spokesman Younis Yousufzai told Pajhwok Afghan News two cars collided on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway in Mohammad Ali Kas area at 7:30am.

He said a man lost his life and five others, including a child, were wounded in the incident. The injured were evacuated to a hospital neighbouring Nangarhar province for medical treatment.

He blamed the accident on reckless driving.
