KABUL (Pajhwok): Based on a decree from the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), no government officials can participate in government contracts’ bidding.
Qari Barakatullah Rasoli, spokesman for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), wrote on his X account that the decree was issued for further transparency in IEA ministerial services’ contracts.
The first article of the decree states, to further secure transparency in the process, no government or IEA officials can directly or indirectly participate in the bidding process of ministerial services or the bidding processes of mines extraction.
The second article of the decree states, all those private companies in which IEA or government are stakeholders or own companies entirely are also subject to the order listed in the first article of this decree.
