KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) says as many as 3,328 foreigners entered and exited Afghanistan last month.
NSIA said in a statement about 1,804 foreigners, including 33 women, were registered entering the country, while 1,524 others, including 31 women, exited through the crossings and airports in September.
It said the entry of 1,764 of these people was recorded at the county’s land ports and 39 others at airports. Among them 212 foreigners entered the country for sightseeing and others for work.
Majority of the foreigners were registered at Nimroz, Torkham, Hairatan ports and Balkh and Kabul airports, the statement added.
NSIA besides other responsibilities registers foreigners on the exit and entry points of the country.
