PUL-I-ALAM/ MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): One individual has been killed and 19 others have been injured as a result of traffic accidents in central Logar and Maidan Wardak provinces, officials said on Tuesday.
Logar Traffic Director Gul Mohammad Himmat told Pajhwok Afghan News a car collided with a passenger bus in Pul-i-Alam today.
He said a woman was killed and 11 other people were injured in the collision on the Logar-Paktia highway in the .provincial capital.
Separately, three people were injured after a Corolla-type car overturned in the Kandahari Pul area of Mohmmad Agha district, Himmat added.
According to the official, security forces evacuated the injured to hospital. Some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
In Wardak province, the fifth military brigade said two vehicles collided in the Top Dasht area of Syedabad district last night.
The incident left five people wounded, who were shifted to hospital by security forces. The injured are in stable condition.
