KABUL (Pajhwok): Construction work has been launched on five health centres at a cost of more than three million afghanis in northwestern Nimroz province, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced on Tuesday.
The ministry wrote on its X handle as many as 12,000 women would be provided with maternity services over the execution of the projects.
Funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNPF, the health centres were being constructed in Diwalk, Guru, Shagi and Kharwar areas of Khashrood and Delaram districts.
The ministry added the projects would consume more than three million afghanis.
As many as 12,000 women would be provided with maternity services following completion of the projects, the ministry concluded.
