KABUL (Pajhwok): Another three Afghans have returned to the country after their release from jails in Iraq, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Tuesday.
MoRR reported the three individuals were freed from police custody following efforts by the Afghan Embassy there.
It said these Afghans spent up to six months in prisons of Iraq for lacking valid documents and they were freed and returned to the country via Iran.
As many as 25 Afghans had been released from prisons in Iraq on October 12.
According to reports, many Afghans still languish in imprisons in Iran, Pakistan and Arab countries.
