BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Construction work has been launched on a number of development projects that will cost 18 million afghanis at the university of central Bamyan province, an official announced on Thursday.
Bamyan’s University Director Mufti Hazrat Mohammad Burhani told Pajhwok Afghan News the projects included construction of a retaining wall, sub-roads, stone poring, paving the varsity campus and other facilities.
Funded by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), the projects would consume 18 million afghanis, he said.
He added students would be provided with facilities over the completion of the projects.
At the same time, students of Bamyan University, while expressing their satisfaction with the implementation of such projects, demanded more support and attention from the authorities.
Azim Farhad, one of the students, said they students lacked places to hang out, clean drinking water, sports places and green area.
He asked the officials to provide proper education and more facilities for the students.
