KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Volleyball Federation (AVF) says the national squad has left for Uzbekistan to participate in in the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Championship.
Mohammad Arif Paiman, deputy director of AVF, told Pajhwok Afghan News the national team left Kabul for Uzbekistan Thursday morning.
Besides Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Maldives and hosts Uzbekistan would also participate in the mega event, he said.
Paiman added the Afghan squad had prepared in Kabul for a month in the lead-upt to the competitions.
The Central Asian Volleyball Championship is scheduled to take place from October 18 to 25 in Uzbekistan.
