KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and Uzbekistan are all set to square off in their second match at the Central Asian Volleyball Association Championship today (Saturday).
Mohammad Arif Paiman, deputy direct of the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation (AVF), told Pajhwok Afghan News the match would commence at 4:30pm (local time).
He said Turkmenistan trounced Afghanistan by 3-0 in the first match in the mega event on Friday night.
The championship got underway on Friday in Uzbekistan and would continue until October 25.
Besides Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Maldives and hosts Uzbekistan are also participating in the tournament.
