Some groups fuel disunity among Muslims: Nadim

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Jamiat-i-Islah, Hizb-ul-Tahrir, Salafi and Daesh are groups that promote disunity among Muslims under the name of Islam, an official said on Saturday.

Addressing a graduation ceremony at Sheikh Zahid University in Khost City, Higher Education Minister Sheikh Nida Mohammad Nadim said the physical presence of the enemy was no more in Afghanistan but the ideological conflict was ongoing and its purpose was to harm the trust and belief of the masses in the system.

He added that Jamiat-i-Islah, Hizb-ul-Tahrir, Salafi and Daesh are groups that promoted disunity among Muslims under the title of Islam.

He said: “We don’t want miseries in Afghanistan so you should protect your minds from wrong creeds, dear teacher please promote the understanding of love, unity and compassion among youth.”

The acting higher education minister said the IEA has made efforts based on its commitment to provide necessary facilities for university students in various fields.

He pledged the resolution of problems at Shaikh Zahid University.
