KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Water and Energy on Saturday announced completing a 10 megawatt solar power project in Naghlu area of Sarobi district in Kabul province at a cost of $7.6 million.
During the inauguration ceremony, acting Water and Energy Minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, said that the ministry was focusing more on domestic resources for electricity production and implementing renewable energy projects in most provinces of the country.
The head of the Administrative Affairs, Sheikh Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, also said that now was the time for all Afghans to work together confidently for the development of their country.
Kabul Governor Haji Aminullah Obaid invited investors to participate and assured them that the Islamic Emirate was committed to comprehensively cooperating with investors.
This project was implemented by the Ministry of Water and Energy in collaboration with the Aofi Bahram Company through private investment, costing $7.6 million.
This project will benefit 10,000 families in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces.
