KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and the Maldives are set to square off in their third match at the Central Asian Volleyball Association Championship today (Sunday).
The match would commence at 1:30pm (local time), the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation (AVF) said in a statement on Sunday.
Earlier, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan had trounced Afghanistan in their first and second matches in the mega event.
The championship got underway on Friday in Uzbekistan and would continue on October 25.
Besides Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Maldives and hosts Uzbekistan are also participating in the tournament.
