KABUL (Pajhwok): Two Iranian and Afghan companies have expressed their interest to invest in construction of five power substations from southern Ghazni to Kandahar provinces.
In a statement, the Ministry of Water and Energy said Acting Minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour met with directors of Atlas Mahdiyar Asman Hashtm Iranian company and “Logistics and Procurement Company Nazir Ahmad” Haji Nazir Ahmad.
In this meeting, the directors of the companies expressed their interest in investing in the construction of five substations from Ghazni to Kandahar, saying they fully prepared.
According to the statement, Mansour welcomed the companies and explained: “Now in Afghanistan, the environment is conducive for any kind of investment field and we are ready for any kind of cooperation in this field”.
He emphasized preparing proposals, signing the contract and organizing joint meetings between technical teams of the ministry and companies to start practical work on the projects.
