Candidates assured transparency in recruitment process

KABUL (Pajhwok): Officials have stressed commitment and specialization during recruitment process and said no one would be able to get a government job by offering a bribe or reference.

Acting Minister of Urban Development Housing Hamdullah Numani said he believed in fair competition and a transparent process to get a job in the ministry and rejected any kind of reference.

He addressed successful candidates and urged them to remain committed to the country and perform their duties honestly. Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, head of the Administrative Affairs Department, said the first process to ensure transparency was the introduction of a competitive examination in this process.

He said the conduct of such examination would assure candidates that by having capacity and talent they could find their way to government institutions.

Mufti Farid Ahmad, secretary Administrative Reforms Simplification Process, said around 9,515 persons had applied for 94 posts.

He said around 6,000 persons met the criteria and would be taking the examination till November 7.
