Deputy PM Kabir emphasizes youth employment

KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Maulvi Abdul Kabir has emphasized the need for providing job opportunities to the youth and preventing their migration to foreign countries.

The deputy premier also said the interim government considered itself responsible for serving the nation.

He said this at a meeting with head of technical and vocational training authority Ghulam Haidar Shahamat, his office said in a statement.

Shahamat said the authority has 377 active centres across the country, where 800,000 people are undergoing vocational trainings.

He added the technical and vocational authority was striving to provide the youth with vocational training. From one hand they would serve the nation and on the other their illegal migration would be prevented.

He also shared some problems of his authority with the deputy premier.

He also urged Kabir to organize a National Technical Vocational Conference.

For his part, Kabir renewed support of the interim government for all governmental and private entities.

He also stressed the need for providing employment opportunities for youth and preventing their migration to foreign countries.
