KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) has signed three agreements worth more than $2.4 million with three organisations.
On X, MoRR wrote it had signed the agreements with Health Administration and Development, Women for Women, and ACTED.
The accords with a total value of 2,498,063 US dollars were signed by Maulvi Abdul Rahman Rashid, deputy minister, and representatives of the organisations.
Under one of the agreement s, "Women for Women" will spend 1,261,878 dollars on logistical support for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner, legal monitoring and support for internally-displaced persons.
It will also analyse the situation and problems of the displaced people and returnees and provide relevant information to donors.
The organisation will also conduct awareness-raising programmes, identify those in need and provide psychological counseling for 10,550 individuals in Balkh, Samangan, Jawzjan, Faryab, Baghlan, Takhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan and Sar-i-Pul provinces.
ACTED will provide services worth 873,065 dollars for shelter and health in the provinces of Kunar and Laghman, benefiting 1,296 families.
The Healthcare Administration will allocate 363,120 dollars for awareness programmes, providing vocational packages, establishing eight agricultural nurseries, educational initiatives, support committees, and supporting eight small projects in Baghlan, Samangan, Balkh, and Jawzjan for 940 families.
