MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A school building is being constructed and another school building has been completed in northern Faryab province, an official said on Thursday.
Education Director Maulvi Mohammad Tahir Jawad told Pajhwok Afghan News these two school buildings valued 30 million afghanis. The projects were funded by aid-giving organizations.
He said the Sewek Karim boy’s elementary school building had been completed and put into service in Pashtonkot district. It has eight classrooms, an administrative room, a laboratory, a security room, 7 toilets, 142 meters of perimeter wall, 64 meters of retaining wall, playground, 144 desks and chairs for students, furniture for administration and an equipped electrical system.
The completion of this school solved the shelter problem of 288 students, the director added.
According to Jawad, construction of Khwaja Ghar elementary school in an area of 3000 square meters has been launched in Garziwan district.
This school will have six classrooms, an administrative office, a laboratory room electricity, security room, seven toilets, 228 meters of surrounding wall, drinking water well, 114 seats, desks and chairs for students, and furniture for office and children's playground.
