World urged to avoid forced deportation of Afghan refugees

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir has asked countries to refrain from the forced deportation of Afghan refugees and allow them to return to Afghanistan voluntarily.

He expressed the view during a one-day seminar organized by the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) in Bagh-i-Babur.

He said different invasions forced the people of Afghanistan to leave their country and go to the neighboring and other countries.

He asked all countries especially the neighboring countries that provided shelters to Afghan refugees to honor their rights.

Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that currently around 6,000 factories were available in the country and an investment opportunity was provided.

He said in the past two years projects were launched which could not be launched in 20 years.

He alleged the international community for propaganda campaign and said they made efforts to encourage people to migrate.

He stressed the need for the prevention of human trafficking and added government and people should stand against human trafficking.

Deputy Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Rashid said Afghanistan was one of the countries the people of which have migrated due to conflict.

He said refugees faced problems due to the unfair treatment of host countries and the IEA supported refugees to the best of its ability.
