2 companies eye 5 substations in Kandahar, Ghazni

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two companies, including a foreign firm, have shown interest in constructing five power substations in southern Kandahar and Ghazni provinces.

In a post on X, the Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat announced that CEO Dr. Abdul Bari Omar discussed investment opportunities for the substations with representatives from Iranian and local companies.

Dr. Omar met Mohammad Khawazi, president of the Iranian company Atlas Mahdi Yar Asman Hashtam, and the head of local company Shams Mudassir Construction and Logistics.

In this meeting, he emphasized DABS's commitment to providing comprehensive support and shared insights about various investment opportunities.

Representatives from the investment companies expressed gratitude for DABS's encouragement and support, confirming their readiness to invest in the construction of the five substations.

Dr. Omar instructed officials of the investing companies to engage with relevant technical departments at DABS to continue discussions.
