KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambassador in Malaysia Naqibullah Ahmadi and Russia Ambassador to that country Naiyl Latypov have discussed bilateral economic and political ties between Kabul and Moscow.
The ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were also present at the meeting, the Afghan Embassy in Malaysia wrote on its X handle.
IEA’s ties with Russia and other central Asian countries and interaction with other countries based on Afghanistan’s economy-oriented foreign policy came up for discussion.
The Afghan ambassador called the reception of Afghan diplomats in Kazakhstan as the beginning of good political relations and stated that organising three major trade exhibitions in the past year was an important step in the business sector.
The ambassadors of these countries also expressed hope that their governments would have positive ties and interaction with the interim government in Kabul.
