8 lives lost in Uruzgan bridge collapse

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): At least eight people were killed and one went missing as a result of a bridge collapse in central Uruzgan province on Monday, an official said.

Transport and Civil Aviation Director Hafiz Zalmi told Pajhwok Afghan News a Land Cruiser -type vehicle, coming from neighbouring Kandahar province, fell into the river in the Nikabad area of Gizab district this morning.

He said eight people lost their lives and one was still missing in the incident. He added the victims had recently returned from Iran.
