Free computer learning courses opened in 16 provinces

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT) has opened free-of-cost computer learning courses in 16 provinces, including Logar, an official said on Monday.

Mawlavi Mohammad Tariq Farooqi, general monitoring director of the MoCIT, told a gathering in Logar that free-of-cost computer program learning centres have been opened in 16 provinces of the country.

He said these learning facilities cost 35 million afs where hundreds of youths would be offered computer learning courses.

He said government employees and youths could attend the courses free of cost.

Farooqi said the MoCIT opened thousands of new websites in the field of communication in the last three years and also registered and registered almost half of the 25 million SIM cards according to electronic IDs.

Logar Deputy Governor Mawlavi Mohammad Anwar Din parwar said he was pleased to see the opening of free of cost computer learning centres in the province.

Mawlavi Matiullah Abid, head of the provincial Information Technology Department, said computer learning center has been opened in this province at the cost of two million Afghanis, and hundreds of young people have been allowed to join it.

He called on government officials and youths to get full advantage of the available opportunity.
