Triumphant Afghanistan-A return home

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan-A have returned to Kabul after clinching the ACC Emerging T20 Teams Asia Cup title, the board announced on Tuesday.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) wrote on its Facebook page the triumphant national squad landed in Kabul this morning.

The ACC Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup, featuring eight teams, was played in Oman. Afghanistan-A, Pakistan-A, Sri Lanka-A and India-A had found their way to semi-finals.

However, Pakistan-A and India-A were eliminated, with Afghanistan trouncing Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the final and thereby winning the title for the first time.
