GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Four people, including women and children, have been killed and three others injured during separate incidents in southern Ghazni province, police said on Thursday.
In a statement, the police headquarters said a woman died and two others were injured when a wall collapsed on them in Khwaja Khel area of Nawa district on Wednesday.
The women were applying mud to the wall when it caved in.
The injured women were evacuated to Nawa district health center for treatment, the statement added.
Police spokesman Abu Khalid Sarhadi told Pajhwok Afghan News two children were killed and a third injured when an old mortar shell exploded in Sarasiyab area of Nawar district yesterday.
“The children were collecting wood when they found the shell and were playing with it when it went off”.
According to him, the injured child was shifted to Ghazni zonal hospital and the dead bodies were handed over two their families.
Separately, personal enmity claimed one person’s life in Balai area of Deh Yak district last evening, Sarhadi said.
The killer had fled and security forces have launched an investigation.
Earlier, one person was killed due to personal enmity in Khwaja Omari district.
